HEADTEACHER'S WELCOME
It is my pleasure to welcome you to Crawford Primary School. Please take your time to look through the information on our website and watch our virtual school tour to gain an insight into our vibrant and dynamic school.

Situated in Camberwell in South East London, Crawford Primary is a stimulating and exciting place to learn. Inclusion is at the heart of our school where all pupils are nurtured and encouraged to achieve their full potential and develop into intelligent, creative and ambitious learners. We are extremely proud of their achievements and take every opportunity to celebrate these.

We pride ourselves on our knowledge-rich and creative curriculum, engaging teaching and strong partnerships with our school community, which enable us to provide the best possible experience for every child. Reflecting our multicultural community, it is carefully crafted by subject specialists to ensure that every child is able to deepen and broaden their knowledge across the full curriculum. Our most recent OfSTED inspection reported that: ‘Subject planning is well developed...and provides pupils with a range of experiences that broaden their horizons. Consequently, all pupils are interested in their learning and remember a lot of relevant knowledge from the topics they have studied’.

The creative arts sit proudly within our curriculum offer too. Children are given the time, freedom and opportunity to express themselves and showcase their exceptional talents across all subjects. We are particularly proud of our Crawford dance groups and football teams who excel in these areas!

Woven into this provision is our ambition to develop resilient, mature students who have a strong sense of self and are happy. Providing them with a wellbeing toolkit through our Crawford Values, our pupils are able to develop their knowledge and understanding of what it means to be a valued member of our community. Our most recent Ofsted inspection reported that: ‘There is something special about Crawford...Pupils have high expectations of themselves and their peers. Pupils show tremendous respect and tolerance for each other in lessons and around the school’. It is for these reasons I am extremely proud of our school.
I look forward to welcoming you soon.
